Minutes
* Those present at the March meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.
* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order,at 7:20, at the Oregon Coliseum, in Oregon IL.
* Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Chris Remhof ; 2nd by Don Tutor. Report was approved.
* Motion to approve the minutes was made by Chris Remhof and it was 2nd by Bob Gibbs. The minutes were approved.
* Guest were introduced.
* Tom Smith talked about plans for his campaign for the County Board.
* Chris R. made a motion that we pay $50.00 for a 1/4 page adv.,in the program, for the Il. Democratic Women's Convention. It was 2nd and the motion passed.
* NICCC is in the process of hiring a coordinator. NICCC 2010 Democratic Unity Dinner will be April 9th at the Radisson Hotel in Rockford.
* The Ogle County Democratic Picnic will be at the White Pines Park. on Sept. 12th.
* Chairman Holly Johnson thanked the Ogle County Democrats for their support. She envisions all of us working together and each person doing what they can for the Ogle County Democrats, and above all having a good time in the process.
* Motion to Adjourn by Chris Remhof. It was 2nd by Randy Ocken.

Minutes
* Those present at the April meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.
* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:05, in the Oregon Farm Bureau, at Oregon IL..
* Chairman Johnson introduced Becky Huntley (Ogle County Clerk) who proceeded to explain the responsibilities of Deputy Registrars and then respond to other questions about voting and election procedures. Becky than passed out forms for those wishing to be appointed as Registrars and then conducted the swearing in ceremony for this 2 year term.
* Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Mary Landis; 2nd by Bob Piros. Report was approved.
* Motion to approve the minutes was made by Chris Remhof and it was 2nd by Elaine Breck. The minutes were approved.
* A short discussion followed on what to put in the treasure's report. It will be talked about at the Exec. Council Meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
1) NICCC fundraiser will be April 9th. The NICCC has hired a new Director.
2) The IL. Democratic Women Spring Conv. will be 4/30-5/1,and a group from Ogle County will attend.
3) The Ogle County Picnic and Fundraiser will be Sept. 12th. Tickets will be available in May 2010.
4) Don Tutor will work with a group to set up the Headquarters building in Oregon.
NEW BUSINESS:
1) Holly is working on appointing Precinct and Committee Persons.
2) We will be working on a Gaulrapp Fundraiser in May or June.
3) Randy is working with a group to create requirements for wind turbines in Ogle county. He requested support for a moratorium on receipt and processing permits until a wind farm ordinance is approved.
Motion to Adjourn the meeting was made by Randy Ocken.
Motion 2nd by Mary Landis, meeting was Adjourned.
Refreshments were available and a discussion was conducted by Chairman Johnson on the new Health Care Program.

* Those present at the June 10 meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.
* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:00, at the Ogle County Farm Bureau
* Treasures Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Tom Smith; 2nd by Mary Landis. Report was approved as amended.
* Minutes were presented by Ron Erdman. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Luke Welch, and it was 2nd by Russ Martin. The minutes were approved.
* Candidates Tom Smith (County Board) and Ken Novak (State Rep.), were introduced, and they each gave a description on the intent of their Campaign.
* Correspondence:
a) Ben Young is working with Votebuilder. They have online introduction sessions and local advanced hands-on training.
b) Il. High School Democrats have educational activities available.
c) Il. Renewable Energy Association will have their Energy Fair on the 7-8 of August. We will have volunteers working at a Democratic table.
* Old Business:
a) NICCC
The new Chairman will be Lewandowski. He is from Rockford.
b) Picnic/fundraiser tickets are available for sale. The Pork Chop Dinner and Draw Down Will be Sept. 12 at the White Pines Park.
c) Headquarters will be open from Aug thur the 1st week of Nov.
d) Parade information will be on our Web Site, Facebook or contact Luke Welch.
e) ID16 organizational meeting for Gaulrapp was held May 22nd at the Cherry Valley Lib.
f) A Gaulrapp Fundraiser will be 8 July in place of our regular meeting. It will be July 8th at Alfano's in Rochelle.
* New Business
a) IL. Democratic Women event was held in Springfield, IL. Ogle Cty was represented by eight Democratic Women.
b) Motion to support Tom Smith CTY Board Campaign with a $1000.00 donation. It was 2nd by Elaine Breck. The motion passed.
Motion to Adjourn was made by Jan and 2nd by Russ. The motion passed.
A Post Meeting Discussion was led by Curt Freeburg. He presented information on our Congressman's voting record and campaign contributions especially from Corporations.

* Vice Chairman Bobbie Colbert, called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:06, at the Ogle County Democratic Office.

* OLD BUSINESS:
1) Motion to donate $500.00 to Ken Novak and Vicky Grizzoffi
Campaign was made by Luke Welch and 2nd by Curt Freeburg. Approved.
2) Motion by Elaine Breck to donate $1000.00 to the George Gaulrapp
Campaign. It was 2nd by Bob Piros. The motion was approved.
3) A positive report was given on the Sheila Simon meeting at
Democratic Headquarters and the Durbin / Giannoulias meeting in
Rockford.
4) Luke reported on the parades. Three more to go this year and we
will be walking with candidates in Oregon (AOP).
5) Don Tutor reported that Headquarter Phone number is-7323629.
6) Alex Finke has assembled waking list for Precinct Committeemen.
7) Picnic/ Fundraiser update and review of preparations.
* NEW BUSINESS:
1) The next meeting will be the 7th of OCT. to assemble walking
packets. A working session will start a 6:00 and the regular
meeting will start at 7:00.
* Motion to Adjourn by Jan S. and 2nd by Russ Martin.

County Convention
March 3,2010
Bobbie Colbert called the meeting to order, at 7:06, at the Oregon Coliseum.
Jule Dubois was elected to conduct the election.
Holly Johnson was nominated by Bobbie Colbert for Democratic Chairman.
Randy Ocken 2nd the nomination.
Mary Landis made a motion to elect Holly by a unanimous vote.
Chris Remhof 2nd the motion. Holly Johnson was elected.
Bobbie Colbert was nominated for 1st Vice Chair by Don Tutor and it was 2nd by Mary Landis. Chris made a motion to elect Bobbie Colbert by a unanimous vote. The motion was 2nd by Elaine Breck. Bobbie Colbert was elected.
Bob Gibbs was nominated for 2nd Vice Chairman by Bobbie Colbert and it was 2nd by Mary Landis.
Randy Ocken made a motion to elect Bob by a unanimous vote. It was 2nd by Tom Smith. Bob Gibbs was elected.
Ron Erdman was nominated for Sec. by Don Tutor, and it was 2nd by Bob Gibbs. Ron was elected.
Avi Folk was nominated for Treas. by Randy Ocken, and it was 2nd by Bobbie Colbert. Avi was elected.
Motion to Adjourn was made by Don Tutor, and it was 2nd by Randy Ocken.
The meeting was Adjourned.

Minutes
* Those present at the May meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.
* The meeting was preceded by Pizza and time for committees to discuss goals for the coming year.
* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:10, in the Stillman Valley,at Matts Hometown Pizza.
* Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Bob Gibbs ; 2nd by Bobbie Colbert. Report was approved as amended.
* Motion to approve the minutes was made by Don Turtor and it was 2nd by Randy Ocken. The minutes were approved.
* Ken Novak talked about his campaign for State Rep. in IL.. His main focus will be on "JOBS".
* Tom Smith gave a summary of his campaign's progress.
* Updates were given for NICCC, Il. Democratic Women,s Convention and 2010 Headquarters search.
* Tickets for the Sept. 12th Ogle County Picnic/ Drawdown are available.
Meal only tickets are $20.00 and Drawdown tickets are $50.00.
* ID16 organizational meeting with George Gaulrapp will be the 22 May 2010, at the Cherry Valley.
* A Fundraiser for George Gaulrapp will be discussed at the Exc. Bd. meeting.
* Randy Ocken updated us on the Wind farm moratorium on new wind turbines
until County Zoning Regulations are in place.
* Andrew Edgar the new NICCC Coordinator was introduced, and Andrew gave us information on his background and initial plans for the 2010 election. He stressed the importance of everyone getting involved and encouraged every one to contact him with ideas or suggestions. andrewscottedgar@Gmail.com

* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:06, at the Ogle County Democratic Office.
* Treasures Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Russ Martin; 2nd by Luke Welch. Report was approved as amended.
* Minutes were presented by Ron Erdman. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Bob Piros, and it was 2nd by Don Tutor. The minutes were approved.
* Introduction of Guest and Candidates:
Gloria Wickert discussed the Quinn Campaign and she emphasized the
"Who is Brady?" program.
Ken Novak, Vicky Grizzoffi and Tom Smith all gave a brief
discussion of their campaign.
* Old Business
Picnic/Fundraiser -- Ticket sales are progressing and Bob Gibbs has
more available. Motion by Bob Gibbs to buy a ticket for the Lee
and Whiteside County's Fundraisers. The motion was 2nd by Russ
Martin. The motion was approved.
Headquarters Building-- Motion by Don Tutor to rent the
building at 119 N.4th Street for our Democratic HQ.
This will be until the first week in Nov. and we will
have Ins. and telephone available. Motion was 2nd by
Bobbie Colbert. The motion was approved.
Parades-- 22nd Aug at Rochelle (3:00)
19th Sept at Creston (12:30)
27th Sept Stillman Valley (1:00)
* New Business
1. Sheila Simon will be here on the 13th/2:30.
2. Gov. Day Program will be at Springfield, IL. on the
18th of August.
3. Votebuilder Training will be Thursday, Aug. 26th., at
6:30 in the Byron Library.
* Bobbie Colbert gave a brief report on the County Board
activity.
* Motion to Adjourn was made by Jan and it was 2nd by Bob.

Refreshments were available and a discussion on Gov Quinn and his re-election was conducted.

* REPORTS & OLD BUSINESS
Headquarters- The next meeting will be held on 4 Nov. so it will not interfere with closing of the Headquarters.
Parades----- We are done with all Parades for 2010. Luke felt it was a good year. The Ogle Dems. Thanked Luke for his hard work to make it a successful year.
Fundraiser was down some this year but it was still a very good year. A detailed report on the Picnic/fundraiser will be put
together so the organizers next year will have this information.
A big thanks to Russ Martin for selling 1/4 of the tickets this year.
A motion was made by Don Tutor to reimburse Bob Gibbs for all the work he has done for the OCD. After a discussion Ron Erdman made a motion to table this motion until the Executive Committee has a chance to review our entire reimbursement policy. Curt Freeburg 2nd
the motion. The motion was approved.
* NEW BUSINESS
NICCC dues of $500.00 are now due. Bobbie Colbert made a motion that we pay the $500.00 to NICCC. Mary Landis 2nd the motion.
The motion was approved.
A motion was made by Randy Ocken that we spend up to $3000.00 in pre election ad's in Ogle County Newspapers. Jan S. 2nd the motion.
The motion was approved.
* A motion was made by Mary Landis to adjourn. 2nd by Randy Ocken.
The meeting was adjourned.
This meeting was preceded by a work session in which we filled about 500 information packets, with walking list, for precinct workers.
