Minutes

* Present at the May meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.

* Chairman Muriel Messer called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order   at 7:00, at the Ogle County Farm Bureau , Oregon IL.

* Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve  by Ron Erdman. It was 2nd by Don Tutor.  The Report was approved.

* Minutes for the 13 November 2008 were presented by Ron Erdman.  Motion to approve by Don Tutor. It was 2nd by  Avi Folk. The minutes were approved.

* Correspondence reported by Chairman Messer:
    * Bill 273 is an attempt to change the method or replacing elected
party members. It appears that this will make the process more difficult, if it passes.
    * "Obama For America becomes Organizing For America" We will have a  speaker from the OFA at our next meeting(11 June 2009).
    * A bill for                        was submitted.
        Bobbie Colbert made a motion to pay this bill.
        Avi Folk 2nd the motion.
        The motion was approved.

* Luke Welch presented the parade schedule:
    7 June----- Leaf River--- starting at 2:00 PM
    21 June----- Polo --------       "     12:00 noon
    4 July ----- Mount Morris -       "     2:00 PM
    12 July ---- Byron --------       "     2:00 PM
    23 August -- Rochelle -----       "     3:00 PM

* Chairman's Report:
    * Ninety five letters have been sent to Unions  in Northwestern IL. A postage bill was submitted for $58.50.
A motion by Don Tutor to pay this bill.
It was 2nd by Luke Welch.
The motion was approved.

    * The Chairman reported on the 17th District Dinner and Raffle and the NICCC Fund Raiser.

    * Aug. 19th will be the Gov. Day at the IL. State Fair and the Chairman Association will be meeting at the same time.
The Chairman Assoc. Raffle ticket will cost $100.00.
Bobbie Colbert moved that we purchase a ticket.
Don Tutor 2nd the motion.
The motion was approved.

    * Raffle tickets are available for the OCD Picnic on the 15th of Sept. 2009

* Bobbie Colbert gave a report on the Ogle County Board.

Luke Welch made a motion to adjourn.
Don Tutor 2nd the motion.
