Minutes

* Those present at the March meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.

* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order,at 7:20, at the Oregon Coliseum, in Oregon IL.

* Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Chris Remhof ; 2nd by Don Tutor. Report was approved.

* Motion to approve the minutes was made by Chris Remhof and it was 2nd by Bob Gibbs. The minutes were approved.

* Guest were introduced.

* Tom Smith talked about plans for his campaign for the County Board.

 * Chris R. made a motion that we pay $50.00 for a 1/4 page adv.,in the program, for the Il. Democratic Women's Convention. It was 2nd and the motion passed.

* NICCC is in the process of hiring a coordinator. NICCC 2010 Democratic Unity Dinner will be April 9th at the Radisson Hotel in Rockford.

* The Ogle County Democratic Picnic will be at the White Pines Park. on Sept. 12th.

* Chairman Holly Johnson thanked the Ogle County Democrats for their support. She envisions all of us working together and each person doing what they can for the Ogle County Democrats, and above all having a good time in the process.

* Motion to Adjourn by Chris Remhof. It was 2nd by Randy Ocken.

Minutes

* Those present at the April meeting are listed on the sign up sheet.

* Chairman Holly Johnson called the Ogle County Democratic meeting to order at 7:05, in the Oregon Farm Bureau, at Oregon IL..

* Chairman Johnson introduced Becky Huntley (Ogle County Clerk) who  proceeded to explain the responsibilities of Deputy Registrars and then respond to other questions about voting and election procedures. Becky than passed out forms for those wishing to be appointed as Registrars and then conducted the swearing in ceremony for this 2 year term.


 * Treasure's Report was presented by Avi Folk. Motion to approve by Mary Landis; 2nd by Bob Piros. Report was approved.

* Motion to approve the minutes was made by Chris Remhof and it was 2nd by Elaine Breck. The minutes were approved.

* A short discussion followed on what to put in the treasure's report. It will be talked about at the Exec. Council Meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:

1) NICCC fundraiser will be April 9th. The NICCC  has hired a new Director.
2) The IL. Democratic Women Spring Conv. will be 4/30-5/1,and a group from Ogle County will attend.
3) The Ogle County Picnic and Fundraiser will be Sept. 12th. Tickets will be available in May 2010.
4) Don Tutor will work with a group to set up the Headquarters building in Oregon.

NEW BUSINESS:

1) Holly is working on appointing Precinct and Committee Persons.
2) We will be working on a Gaulrapp Fundraiser in May or June.
3) Randy is working with a group to create requirements for wind turbines in Ogle county. He requested support for a moratorium on receipt and processing permits until a wind farm ordinance is approved.

Motion to Adjourn the meeting was made by Randy Ocken.
Motion 2nd by Mary Landis, meeting was Adjourned.


Refreshments were available and a discussion was conducted by Chairman Johnson on the new Health Care Program.
